Warranties are essential regardless of what product or service you’re purchasing. They are especially important when buying services from contractors working on your home.

A warranty guarantees the quality of the work, and Heritage Custom Painting offers a best-in-class warranty. We are confident in the products we use and the quality of our craftsmanship, and that’s why all of our jobs are backed up to a 3-year warranty.

PRODUCTS ARE THE FOUNDATION OF GOOD WARRANTIES 

A good warranty begins with premium paint products. Heritage Painting only uses the highest quality products from Sherwin Williams, PPG, and Benjamin Moore. 

We currently offer a one-year warranty on these products:

• Sherwin Williams Superpaint
• PPG Hi-Hide
• Benjamin Moore Ben

These are “entry-level” premium products and are designed to maintain their luster and shine for up to three years. 

With higher-tier paints, we offer a three-year warranty on the below products: 

• Sherwin Williams Duration
• PPG Prominence
• Benjamin Moore Regal Select
• Sherwin Williams Emerald
• PPG Ultralast
• Benjamin Moore Aura

All of these are top-tier and highly durable products with built-in moisture resistance. Duration, Regal Select, and Prominence are designed to last 8+ years. Emerald, Ultralast, and Aura are designed to last up to a decade and beyond. 

WHAT DOES A WARRANTY COVER?

Warranties are designed to cover any type of failure resulting from the paint itself or faulty application. Warranties do not include user errors, such as improper treatment or poor maintenance. All of these scenarios are outlined in the Painting Contractor Association’s warranty standards, and Heritage Painting closely follows the association’s guidelines. 

In layman’s terms, if there is any problem with the product within the timeframe that is not the damage or misuse, Heritage Painting will return to the project and repair the work. 

Paint failures include issues like bubbling, peeling, or flaking paint, and possibly unusual discoloration. However, if the paint has been dinged, scuffed, or otherwise damaged, that is not covered by the warranty. 

A three-year warranty is a significant amount of time to cover paint application. That’s because Heritage Painting is confident in our products and processes, and we want every client to be satisfied with their project.
